A Pack Of Jenang Kudus

A pack of "Jenang Kudus", a specific porridge from Kudus, Central Java. 

"Sinar Tiga Tiga" is the product name.

Just like a cigarette pack wrapper.

Jenang Kudus: Kudus's Porridge.

Mangsi Coffee From Bali

Kopi "Mangsi "dari Bali.

Saya suka gambar daun-daun kopi sebagai hiasan itu.

Cetak 1 warna: coklat tua di atas kertas coklat muda mewakili rasa kopinya.

Sangat menarik!

I love that drawing of coffee leaf as ornament. 

Dark brown color printed in light brown paper represents the coffee. 

Simply brilliant. I like it very much!

Indonesian Snack: Jenang Dodol "Sari Rasa"

Plastic packaging of a traditional snack from Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia.

Using a graphical label of coconut trees and a sprig of rice.

Silk-screened in one color: yellow.

Sari Rasa: flavor extracts, the name of this snack.

Shrimp Crackers "Guci Toak"

Another 'plastic-printed packing' of shrimp crackers. Found in Tuban, East Java, Indonesia. Still have not associated with the product. This graphical labels using a picture of shrimp and guci toak : jug wine (see the image in the top right corner).

Shrimp Cracker - Kelapa Gading

As usual, there are lots of graphical labels in Indonesia which is NOT always associated with the products.

Graphic label that I posted today is the product of shrimp crackers with  "Kelapa Gading : Ivory Coconut" as a label.

There is no direct relationship between the product and the label. Why use a picture of coconut for labelling shrimp crackers?

This one is from Indramayu, West Java, Indonesia.

Unique Envelope

Graphic label for envelope's box. It's very unique. With picture of a traditional Javanese bride from Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. Complete with flower arrangements and a typical hair. Look at the expression of this bride. So many intepretations. 
Label printed (offset) on a thin paper, only in 2 colors: red & blue.

Bandrek - Special Indonesian Drinks

Introducing: BANDREK. A typical beverage from Sukabumi, West Java. Shown here, Bandrek packed ready to drink. Made from coconut extract, served hot and suited to be drunk when it is cold temperature. It's not clear why use pictures of pigeons.  
But really it's delicious hot drink.

Lump Sugar labelled: TAWON/BEE

Tawon (Bee) for labelling lump sugar. This one from Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. Lump sugar usually used for making teh tubruk: a traditional tea that is not filtered, so there is a grain of tea leaves. This gives sensation is much different than regular tea bags mixed with regular sugar. Label silk-screened on plastic as packaging.

Coffee Cat

Attention: "Coffee Cat" not "Copy Cat".
Cat's head for a coffee product labels. Screen printed on plastic as packaging. With yellow and dark brown colors reflect a delicious coffee.This unique one is from Palembang, South Sumatra. What Super? "Super" mean coffee may taste very steady.

Kopi Bubuk: coffee powder (milled coffee).
Bintang: star
Kepala Kucing: cat's head.
Mencong: oblique (?), is the name of the manufacturer.

Various Graphic Label: Wingko Babad

These are 3 graphics design for Wingko Babad. 

Wingko Babad is typical food from Semarang, Central Java, made of glutinous rice and coconut. 
As seen here a picture of rail station -possibly because these snacks sold at many train stations- and there is also the silhouette of a Javanese's traditional house (joglo) that show the impression of Taman Sari (the royal family's garden palace).

Hawai in Harvest

Packing label for maizena named "Hawai in Harvest". 

Here are pictures of people wearing a peci (Indonesian cap) and caping (traditional hat, like Vietnam hat). 

Why named Hawai? As you see, these are profile of Indonesian peoples, not Hawaiian.

I do not find any relevance between the image profiles of Indonesian, maizena, and Hawaii. But I think its funny & unique.

Javanese Fried Chicken: MBOK BEREK

This is a carton box label for ayam goreng.

"Ayam goreng" means Fried chicken.

"Mbok Berek" is the famous Javanese-fried-chicken-cooker in Jogjakarta, Central Java, Indonesia (like Colonel Sanders in U.S.) and it's probably become an icon. 

If we talk about Javanese fried chicken we have to talk about Mbok Berek. Pugeran is the address.

But there were 2 different name: Ny. Pawiro Dikoro and Ny. Kadarmiyatun Sudarman. 

The question is: Who is the real owner of this fried chicken? But times go on and there are no patent crises.
